Earl Atkins papers, 1954-1955, undated.

The Earl Atkins Papers contain a copy of Bulletin Number 24 dated 27 August 1954 from Dachau Section Headquarters, Munich Sub-Area, APO 108, which names Atkins "Outstanding Soldier of the Week," the exercise rules for Exercise Sage Brush held in the Louisiana Maneuver Area in November-December 1955, and a post card from Headquarters of the 60th Coast Artillery (Anti-Aircraft). Three news clippings on the Dachau Concentration Camp are also included in this collection.

The Dachau concentration camp was established in March 1933. It was the first regular concentration camp established by the National Socialist (Nazi) government. It was located on the grounds of an abandoned munitions factory near the northeastern part of the town of Dachau in southern Germany.
